How To Get Traffic To Your Website

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

When I first got started in Network marketing one of the things I knew I was not good at was selling. My sponsor told me that was not a problem as I would get a website and it would do most of the selling for me. At the time I thought that was a great idea. All I had to do was do a bit of advertising about my website then sit back and watch things happen.

The problem was I was not educated on how marketing on the internet works and nor was my sponsor. Nothing happened. No one except myself a few people I asked to, visited my website.

After a while I told my sponsor and she said it was my responsibility to find ways to get traffic to my website. The way to do this was word of mouth, my circle of influence as she said, or to advertise. Looking back, What poor advice this was. She did not understand the power of the internet and now the internet worked.

The word of mouth thing did not work very well nor did the advertising, so I was told to buy some internet leads. They were a great way to get customers, i was told. You have to pay about $10 – $20 per lead but you would get a new customer at least every five leads, mony well spent my sponsor told me. I practiced my scripts and called but after paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars I never got one person interested. The only people to prosper from those bought leads are the people that sell them.

Naturally I did not stay with that MLM Company they operate with an out of date system. Instead of giving up on Network Marketing what I did decide to do was to investigate what makes a website successful. By that I mean ones that have a high rate of traffic which equates into high sales.

Now to get people to my website I needed to attract the attention of search engines. My first website was a company website with thousands like it. The chances of someone finding it was almost impossible. Bit like finding a needle in a haystack the size of a football field.

I did find out the correct way of attracting people to my website. Beside the website I now use a:

A Blog, to market yourself not your product. People do business with people. You need to get people to trust you before they buy from you.

A Capture or Squeeze Page. You will be able to generate your own leads every day automatically, even while you sleep.

An Auto responder to send emails to your leads automatically. This is where you can market your products and your website.

I am now with a Network Marketing Company by which I use these principles of success and other and my business is on fire.

Your Dreams Must Drive You If You Are To Become Successful

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

When I first got into network marketing I was always looking for “The How”. As a logical person I thought if I knew how that was how I would be successful. The problem I did have in the beginning was that I was told it’s not about the “how” its about the “why” By that I mean “your primary motivation factor” what really drives you to do this business. Well for me it was to earn enough money to get out of debit and replace my current income so I could give up my job.

I kept asking my upline what “what do I need to do next” I thought it strange that I was not given much help on this but I was constantly told to “find my why”.

It took me a while to understand the importance of “my Dream”.

Your dream is what truly motivates you. It gets you fired up to take action. It helps you dissolve your fears in this business especially the big one, contacting people.

There are other factors that attribute to someone being successful in Network Marketing. The main all important one is “your Dream”. “Your Dream” needs to be someone emotional, like more time with your family. How many parents regret not spending enough time with their children after they have grown up. That thing called a job always got in the way.

What you need to do is find the reason why you got into Network Marketing and focus on your dream.

It is your dream that is what will make you successful.

Some people do what is called “dream building”. Some examples are test driving a new car or looking through some dream houses. This is fine as long as you can attach an emotion to it, then it has a much greater chance of working. An example is if you want that dream house, how that is going to help your family. How proud your children would be of you if you obtained this through your success in the business.

To have the time and money to visit friends or family who live overseas or on the other side of the country who you may never have been able to visit because you didn’t have the time or money. To be able to help you parents or children more. Maybe you just want more choices in you life that more money can get you.

So I urge you get “your dream”, make sure it has emotion attached to it, focus on where you need to be to achieve it, and start a plan of action which will get you there. Never give up, remember winners never quit, and quitters never win.

The Right Mindset To Succeed In Network Marketing

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

In many ways Network Marketing is different than a traditional business. Most people trade hours for money, by that I mean they work for someone in a JOB or they are self employed.

Some of us have been earning money this way for a very long time. There is nothing wrong with that as long as you are happy doing that. What it does do though is that it develops a mind set that you need to see an immediate benefit for the hours that you work. This is how things worked when you are an employee.

It is also how things work if you are self employed. The difference with self employed people is that they may earn more but they usually put in a lot more hours. Most self employed people are usually very “time poor”; on the other hand most employees are limited to the hours they can work which restricts there earning capacity.

It is this mind set of getting paid of the hours worked that prevents people from either getting into Network Marketing or if they do they don’t last long. The people that do stay and eventually succeed have learned to change how they think. By this I mean they must develop a crystal clear vision on where they want to be. Not today, next week, or next month but in 2 to 5 years.

As I said there is nothing wrong with trading hours for dollars if that is what you are happy doing but it can be restrictive as far as the amount of money you can earn.

I quite often ask the question to someone who works a job or someone who is self employed “would you like to be able to earn more money”. The answer is almost always “yes”. When I ask them “how do you think you would achieve that doing what you are currently doing” the answer is usually “work harder or work more hours”. This is the wrong mind set if you really want to be Financially Free. Yes some people do earn a very nice income as employees or being self employed but this only accounts for a small percentage of people.

To be Financially Free you need to develop a mind set of “working smarter not harder”. This is a hard concept for some people to understand. What you do need is to develop a passive income, by that I mean the money keeps coming in because of the prior work you have done not the work you are currently doing.

The best way to achieve this in to network. By networking you leverage your hours with others to achieve a result that would never be possible by yourself.

Network Marketing can suit anyone. It is a great starting point in the world of business. To be successful you must be prepared at first to put in lots of hours for little return. You would have to do this with a tradition business anyway.

The great thing about Network Marketing is that as your network grows you will be getting a better return for your hours. When your business has really taken off you will be working less and less and earning more and more.

Now let’s look at the hourly rate mind set. Do you ever think how much some Network Marketers earn? It would not be uncommon for those who have a good network to be only working about 10 to 20 hours a month. If they earn say $20,000 a month and some earn much more, that would mean they are working for $1000 an hour.

To be successful in Network Marketing you must possess or develop this mindset of “delayed ratification”. If you can not Network Marketing is not for you, if you can the skies the limit.

Choosing The Right Network Marketing Business

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Have you ever looked at the different types of Network Marketing business opportunities there are available today. If you have I guess you then wondered which one is right for you. Your choice should be based on a number of factors.

When I first got started in Network Marketing I did not know or understood the in’s and out’s of this business. I filled out a survey on the internet and a couple days later was contacted. I know now this was a lead capture site and someone paid for getting my lead.

Well I eventually got started, I followed all the things my sponsor told me, but had little success. I gave it some time but I finally realised that this was not the business for me. What did happen was that I develop a strong belief that Network Marking would work. All I had to do was to find the right business for me.

A lot of Network Marketing businesses are based being good at contacting people and selling products. That was my greatest problem I was not good at either of those. I wanted to be successful so I got “out of my comfort” zone and tried what my sponsor told me. I still did not have much success; I knew that I would never be a good product salesman.

What I did realise was that I had to educate myself about this industry. I looked at a range of the different Network Marking opportunities that are available. Then I made a decision on which one suited me best. They all work; it’s just that some work better than others for different people. I believe it’s to do with your personality type and your individual needs.

A Network Marketing business that requires you to sell product is great for those people who love being around people a lot and thoroughly enjoy selling. Another advantage of this model is that you get an immediate return through product sales. Yes sales skills can be developed but is that why you got into Network Marketing to become a sales person.

Other Networking Marketing businesses are based on product turnover where you earn monthly Volume Points. You can choose whether to sell or just buy for your own needs. Usually you don’t have to buy a lot to earn the minimum volume points and the products and services are usually ones you would buy anyway. The down side of this model is that you need to grow your group before you see a real return.

One thing that is important is that you choose a business that has products that are good quality, reasonable price, and they are consumable so customers keep ordering more. The other thing you must love the product yourself so you can honestly promote it.

Whatever type of Network Marketing business you choose you must also consider other things such as the support you get. This is very important not only in the beginning but at all times. Some people would need this support to be of a personal nature. An upline or mentor that either lives near by or they can visit on a regular basis. This may restrict the Network Marketing opportunities available.

Besides products, services and support a couple other things you need to consider are:

- Registration and ongoing fees
- Compensation plan
- Training
- System

One last thing to consider is that whether the Network Marketing company is internet friendly. Most now are but some are just set up better than others. Some people still like to do business offline because they prefer the person touch. A Network Marketing company that does business both offline and online may be a good choice.

To be successful in Network Marketing you must have a passion for success so find the one that will suit you best.

How To Succeed in Network Marketing

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

The thing you need to know is that Network Marketing does work, and it can work for you. It is a great way for anyone to earn a great passive income and gain Financial Freedom. To achieve this you must have the right mind set to make it work for you. The reason why it does not work for a lot of people who get involved is they did not have or were not willing to develop this mindset. Remember this is not a regular job and it must not be treated as such.

Most people do not give this business long enough to work for them. To be successful you must have personal growth. People study, educate or get trained in certain skills so they can perform certain careers or jobs. The same applies to Network Marketing, you must educate yourself in the business. This education or personal development as it is often called is about developing a range of personal attitudes that will ensure you are successful in both Network Marketing and in life as well.

Give yourself time to develop; if you do your business will be successful.

Along your personal development journey you should be focusing on mastering the following things.

HAVE BELIEF IN YOURSELF

You must have belief in your Network Marketing Company. Make sure you have chosen the company that suits you best. know in your heart that this is the business for you. It will deliver what you are looking for and you are totally loyal to it, remember it will provide the future you deserve.

SET GOALS

You must get your self short term and long term goals. Be consistent and focused. Aim high, set small achievable goals especially in the beginning. When you set goals also set a suitable reward for achieving them. You will be surprised how quick you can achieve
a goal if a reward is attached.

REMAIN FOCUSED

To build business success you must be consistent and focused. A couple of years spent totally focused to achieving your dream your “Why” will set you up for life.

GET A MENTOR

Every successful person has a mentor, whether it is in business, sport or other parts of our life. They often get called coaches. A mentor should be someone you admire and usually have had the success you wish to have yourself. Top sports people don’t take advice from people who know nothing about their sport? Get yourself a mentor you can trust and work with.

These are only the basics but they are a starting point. When I first got into network Marketing I struggled at first until I realized that I had to grow personally so that my Network Marketing business could grow also.
