How To Get Traffic To Your Website
When I first got started in Network marketing one of the things I knew I was not good at was selling. My sponsor told me that was not a problem as I would get a website and it would do most of the selling for me. At the time I thought that was a great idea. All I had to do was do a bit of advertising about my website then sit back and watch things happen.
The problem was I was not educated on how marketing on the internet works and nor was my sponsor. Nothing happened. No one except myself a few people I asked to, visited my website.
After a while I told my sponsor and she said it was my responsibility to find ways to get traffic to my website. The way to do this was word of mouth, my circle of influence as she said, or to advertise. Looking back, What poor advice this was. She did not understand the power of the internet and now the internet worked.
The word of mouth thing did not work very well nor did the advertising, so I was told to buy some internet leads. They were a great way to get customers, i was told. You have to pay about $10 – $20 per lead but you would get a new customer at least every five leads, mony well spent my sponsor told me. I practiced my scripts and called but after paying hundreds and hundreds of dollars I never got one person interested. The only people to prosper from those bought leads are the people that sell them.
Naturally I did not stay with that MLM Company they operate with an out of date system. Instead of giving up on Network Marketing what I did decide to do was to investigate what makes a website successful. By that I mean ones that have a high rate of traffic which equates into high sales.
Your Dreams Must Drive You If You Are To Become Successful
When I first got into network marketing I was always looking for “The How”. As a logical person I thought if I knew how that was how I would be successful. The problem I did have in the beginning was that I was told it’s not about the “how” its about the “why” By that I mean “your primary motivation factor” what really drives you to do this business. Well for me it was to earn enough money to get out of debit and replace my current income so I could give up my job.
I kept asking my upline what “what do I need to do next” I thought it strange that I was not given much help on this but I was constantly told to “find my why”.
It took me a while to understand the importance of “my Dream”.
Your dream is what truly motivates you. It gets you fired up to take action. It helps you dissolve your fears in this business especially the big one, contacting people.
